SA School Meet Episode 2

Singapore Athletics School Meet Episode 2 was held over 2 days on 13th and 20th January 2019 at Home Of Athletics.

In the B division Boys 100m Dash, Sky Athletics Club youth sprinter, Lim Yu Hng ran an excellent race. Viewed by many as the rising star to dominate future National Schools Track and Field Championship over the 100m and 200m, Lim Yu Hng did not disappoint his fellow rivals such as Mark Lee Ren(ACSI), Kieren Lee(VS), Gabriel Pinto(VS), Roysius Tay(ACSI) as he hit the ground running with a new Personal best of 11.92s, breaking his previous personal best of 12.02s set at last year National Schools Track and Field Championship.

With a timing of 11.92s over the 100m, he not only claim a potential spot at this year National Schools Track and Field Championship 100m Finals but also send a very strong message to the rest of his rivals that he is back in the business to challenge them for the medal.

Over at the B division Boys 200m Dash, both Lim Yu hng and Zachary Tan send a big shock to the rest of their competitors with both setting new Personal best. Lim Yu Hng set a new Personal best of 24.03s, massively breaking his previous record of 24.80s set at last year National Schools Track and Field Championship, while also beating his closest rivals, Jamie Norhisham from Sports School and last year National Schools 200m silver medalist, Julian Chew from ACSI.

For Zachary Tan, despite not having a very good training season due to injuries, he set a new Personal best of 24.54s, breaking his previous record of 24.81s set at last year National Schools Track and Field Championship.

With the conclusion of School Meet Episode 2, spirits are high for both Zachary Tan and Lim Yu Hng as they managed to kick start their competition season on a high note. With great confidence, both of them are aiming to repeat last year amazing performance in a bid to qualify for finals together for this year National Schools Track and Field Championship B Boys 200m.
